What are Denture Relines?

Hard Relines

If your dentures aren't fitting correctly, falling out, or are loose, a hard reline will correct those issues. We will remove some of the plastic inside your dentures and add putty to make an impression where the dentures contact your gums. Hard relines last around two years, providing longevity to your dentures.

Soft Relines

If your dentures are making your mouth sore or tender, you may need a soft reline. Our soft relines will make your dentures more comfortable and remove that tenderness and pain caused by your dentures. Typically, a soft reline will last around a year, so adjustments might be necessary to keep your dentures comfortable. 

Temporary Reline

If your gums have become very sore due to your dentures, you may need a temporary reline to let your gums heal. We can apply a medicated material to help reduce inflammation, and this process lasts a couple of weeks to promote gum healing. Once they are healed, you'll need another hard reline or a new set of dentures.
